Work shop on Product Quality Management and Certification for Business Women in the Food Sector
Work shop on Product Quality Management and Certification for Business Women in the Food Sector of Sri Lanka is being organized by the Women’s Chamber of Industries in Sri Lanka and is supported by the SAARC Chamber of Women Entrepreneur’s Council. The aim of the work shop is to promote the raising of the quality of food products manufactured by participating women entrepreneurs, so that their products would be more competitive in the National and International markets.
The workshop is of one and a half days duration, and consists of five sessions, where four of the Sessions are to be dedicated to technical presentations and group work. Two Technical Experts, namely
Dr.(Mrs.) Priyadharshani Talgaswatta, Deputy Director General, Sri Lanka Standard Institution, and Ms.Asha Sridhar, Chief executive Auditor at TUVNORD, India is to make four Technical Presentations, which were to then be followed by group work and discussions, and also group presentations.
The Technical presentations are to be on aspects of Product Quality Management Certification and it is expected that the participants would make the best use of the workshop and strive to adopt relevant Product Quality Certification with respect to their Industry, so that their product would be of higher quality than at parent to be more competitive in the National and International Markets.
