Every year, the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce Sri Lanka (WCIC) organizes the Leadership Forum to empower women as nation builders. The forum brings together women from different fields and sectors to learn, share, network, and grow under a different theme every March. The 2023 forum took place on 15 March 2023, with the theme “Empowered Women, Empower Sri Lanka”. It celebrated the skills, talents, and resources that women leveraged to empower themselves and their country in the post-pandemic era. The forum featured a keynote speech by Marini De Livera, a lawyer and the founder of “Sisters-at-Law”, who shared her personal journey as a woman entrepreneur and activist. It also had a panel discussion with experts from various fields, and success stories of women entrepreneurs who made a difference. The forum was attended by over 250 participants, who enjoyed the interactive sessions and the networking opportunities. The WCIC, the first women-only trade chamber in Sri Lanka, hosts the Leadership Forum as a flagship event. The WCIC has a vision to empower women to transform the economic growth of the nation. The Leadership Forum is a platform for inspiration, empowerment, and excellence.
